Salves are water free mixtures that can help protect the skin from harsh environments
and work as a carrier for herbs and essential oils into the skin. Salves stay
on the skin longer than lotions thus having a long lasting effect of nourishing
the skin. Salves can be used to hydrate the skin like lotions by applying them
while the skin is wet from a shower or bath, and after applying toner to the face.
